The Ultimate Guide to Caring for Your Clothes

To maintain your new acquisition, it is important to follow a few simple tips (this also works for clothes from other brands)

First, you can start by reading the care instructions on the garment label. But if you tore it off (because it was itchy), don't panic!

Wash inside out. This protects the print or embroidery from friction and therefore wear.
30°C will do. High temperatures can cause the fabric to shrink and damage the print. Generally, detergent works well at low temperatures.
You will sort the colors. If you mix red and white, you may have pink and not something pretty but just stained, so in the washing machine, sort or use an anti-fading cloth.
You will banish bleach. Useful for rags or socks that are not really white, but in general, it makes "beautiful" stains on the fabric.
You can do without the dryer. The dryer can shrink the fabric and damage the prints and embroidery. Don't wait until the last minute to wash your clothes.
Iron carefully. If you choose to store in a ball, your garment will be very wrinkled so a quick iron will be necessary. First, read the label because nylon or any plastic material does not like heat too much, then printed, screen-printed or flocked garments should be ironed inside out and at a low temperature.

Here are some additional tips for taking care of your clothes. It's silly to say but to save your wardrobe, dress according to your activities so:
Avoid wearing the garment when in contact with aggressive substances, such as acid, gasoline, paint or plutonium. It protects against stains, holes and death.
If the garment is stained, clean it immediately! The older the stain, the more difficult it will be to remove it without damaging the fabric, so don't delay!
Store the garment in a cool, dry place. No need to store your clothes in the fridge, hanging on a hanger rather than in a ball in the corner of your room.

By following these tips, you can keep your clothes in good condition for many years and avoid buying more and more. Good for your wallet and good for the planet.
